Riddles is an attractive terraced cottage probably dating from the late 18th century, situated near the end of West Street, a cul-de-sac. It has two bedrooms, has been entirely refurbished, and has gas central heating.
On the ground floor there is a small lobby, a small dining room, and a comfortable sitting room with a wood burning stove, amply big enough for four people. In the rear on the ground floor is a comprehensively equipped kitchen and a bathroom with loo.
Steep rather twisting stairs from the dining room lead to the first floor. The main bedroom is a spacious twin-bedded room with an east-facing window to enjoy the morning sun. The second bedroom is smaller and furnished with 2ft 6in bunk beds, suitable for children and probably adequate for adults or ‘full-size’ teenagers. Like so many old cottages Riddles has low ceilings and some of the internal walls are thin. The cost of gas and electricity is included in the price.
The back door from the kitchen leads to a small enclosed garden, mostly grass, with some garden furniture.
This is a pleasant, well-appointed cottage in the quietest part of the village and very close to Corfe Castle Common and open country.

Stonecot is a three-bedroom semi-detached cottage at the southern end of the village of Corfe Castle and probably dates from the late 18th century. It is on the edge of the village and very close to Corfe Common. It has been extensively refurbished.
The entrance to the cottage is at the rear and leads to a fitted kitchen. Beyond is a small breakfast room. On the ground floor there is also a roomy sitting/dining room with ample space for five people. There is gas central heating throughout and a fireplace with a flame-effect gas fire.
Stairs from the living room lead to the first floor where there are three bedrooms. The first has a double bed; the second has bunk beds; and the third has a single bed.
There is a bathroom with basin and bath with shower over; and a separate loo. There is a small garden area with patio and garden furniture beside the cottage.
Stonecot is close to the main road. There is some traffic noise but this is much reduced by secondary double glazing at the front. Internally it is in excellent order and is a most comfortable and attractive holiday base with walks on Corfe Common and elsewhere very close at hand.
This most attractive cottage is equipped to a high standard and is suitable for a memorable holiday at any time of year.

Sue’s Cottage is a Grade II listed traditional Purbeck stone cottage probably dating from the 17th century and situated in its own garden at the southern end of the village, close to Corfe Common. It is fully modernised and furnished with a blend of modern practical and traditional furniture.
The entrance leads into an attractive kitchen with fitted wood units. The passage from the kitchen leads to the bathroom with bath, loo, and basin, and an electric shower over the bath. The living room is attractively furnished to provide sitting and dining for four people. It has an inglenook fireplace with a ‘Villager’ coal-effect gas stove. A carpeted open staircase leads to a small landing and two bedrooms. The master bedroom has an antique-style iron double bed with brass fittings, the second bedroom has twin beds.
Both have ample hanging and storage space.
Sue’s is a picturesque detached cottage with authentic features including beams to catch the heads of the unwary. There is a small goldfish pond in the garden, fitted with a cover. The cottage is south facing and sides onto the road. There is some traffic noise which is much mitigated inside the cottage by secondary glazing on the ground floor. Sue’s is ideal for an active or romantic holiday.

The Old Bakery is a Purbeck stone Grade II listed cottage in West Street. It dates from the early 18th century. It was in the ownership of the Woadden family, the local bakers and grocers, for many years. The Old Bakery has been sensitively renovated to provide a high quality holiday cottage on West Street, Corfe Castle’s premier road. This cottage makes an ideal getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life with fantastic views and walks right from the doorstep.
The front door leads directly into a very pleasant spacious sitting/dining room able to comfortably accommodate five people. The welcoming sitting room has a fully functioning wood burner and is equipped with hi-fi, widescreen TV and DVD player. A doorway leads through to a fully fitted and well equipped modern kitchen complete with window seat.
Upstairs the master bedroom has a solid pine double bed and walk-in wardrobe. The second bedroom is fitted with a solid pine single bed and full size bunk beds large enough to sleep adults comfortably. There is also an enormous partially tiled bathroom with bath, WC and a fine view of the Castle.
The Old Bakery is fully heated throughout, and has recently been re-furnished and fitted to a high standard. It has no garden, but open fields are close by.

Gable Cottage is a three bedroom semi-detached cottage, probably about 80 years old. Following recent alterations it is fully modernised and in excellent decorative order. It is in East Street, some 8 or 10 yards back from the road and shielded by a small wall and double glazing, which much reduces traffic noise.
The entrance porch leads into a small hallway where a door leads to an attractive living room with ample seating for seven people, a south-facing bay window, and patio doors leading to the garden. Another door leads to the spacious fully-fitted kitchen/dining room with seating for seven and a door into the garden. There is a downstairs shower room with shower, loo and basin. A carpeted staircase leads to a small landing and three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed and windows facing east and west. The second bedroom has twin beds and the third has full-size (3ft) bunk beds. The master bedroom has a polished wood floor and the other bedrooms have fitted carpets. There is a sofa bed in the living room. There is a bathroom with bath with shower over, basin, loo and a heated towel rail.
This is an attractive bright cottage, near to one of the village pubs, with parking in front of the cottage for two cars. There is a garage which is not available to guests. The enclosed rear garden is part lawn and patio but with some changes in level.

River View is a spacious bungalow in the grounds of the owners’ house, built against a slope so that it is at first-floor level. Stoborough village has a garage and a pub which serves food. Wareham, about ten minutes walk, is a small market town with a good selection of shops and restaurants.
Steps lead up to the front door, which opens into an airy hall. There is a spacious living room, with sitting and dining space for up to seven people. Large windows look south, west, and north across the water meadows. There is a modern fitted kitchen.
One bedroom has a king-size double bed; one has twin beds; and the third smaller bedroom has a small double bed. There is ample storage space in the two larger bedrooms. The bathroom has a bath, separate shower, basin, and loo. Further rooms in the roof space are available to clients but very low headroom makes them suitable only for children. There are fitted carpets throughout. There is oil-fired central heating.
River View is comfortable and convenient, in a peaceful situation yet close to amenities and attractions. There are plenty of beaches within easy driving distance. River View is priced to represent particularly good value.

The Old Telephone Exchange is a beautifully refurbished property built of Purbeck stone, and within walking distance of the village centre, and has three bedrooms. All rooms except for one bedroom are on the ground floor. It has central heating throughout.
The front door leads to a hall with flagstone floor. Off this are two ground floor bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with twin beds, and stairs to a first floor double bedroom. All bedrooms have high quality beds, fitted carpets and generous cupboards. There is a contemporary bathroom on the ground floor with bath, basin, loo and a power shower over the bath.
The inner hall leads to a superbly fitted kitchen/breakfast room with flagstone floor, oak and painted ash units with granite worktops and Siemens appliances. The adjoining reception room is beautifully furnished and includes a flat screen TV and DVD player. A glazed door leads to a private decked area.
Although the cottage is close to the main road, traffic noise has never been found a problem. The Old Telephone Exchange is a comfortable and very well presented property ideal for an enjoyable holiday.

Diggory Cottage is one of a pair of traditional semi-detached cottages, probably dating from the 18th century. It has been modernised and refurbished throughout, including central heating and secondary double-glazing.
The front door leads directly into the cheerfully decorated living room with seating for six, a wood burning stove, a large flat-screen TV, a DVD player, radio and CD player. Off the living room is a ground floor bedroom with a double bed (4ft 6in) and ample hanging and storage space. It has an en-suite shower room with shower, loo, and basin, and a washing machine and tumble dryer. Also off the living room is a kitchen/dining room with a gas cooker, fridge, dishwasher, freezer, microwave, and plenty of workspace and storage. There is a dining table with six chairs.
Upstairs the main bedroom has a 5ft double bed and plenty of hanging and storage space. The second bedroom is a small twin with a grand view of the Purbeck Hills. The bathroom has a bath with shower attachment, screen and curtain, basin and loo.
Behind the cottage is a patio with a shingle surface, garden furniture and a barbecue. Stone steps (straight but quite steep) lead to a garden with shrubs, loungers, and more shingle.
Diggory is a delightful cottage, brightly decorated throughout. It is in East Street, the main Corfe to Swanage throughfare, and within easy walking distance (5 minutes) of the centre of the village. It is priced to offer a most comfortable base for a lovely holiday at a competitive price.

Fulbeck was built using local stone and traditional design in the 1970s. It is accessed by a private drive off West Street so is particularly quiet and secluded. It has four bedrooms, including one downstairs, and a pleasant enclosed garden.
Downstairs there is a hall leading to a sitting/dining room with comfortable seating for seven people and a dining table which seats six or seven. From this room a door leads into a pleasant conservatory with a large round table, plenty of chairs, and an outlook onto the garden with fields beyond. There is a well-equipped modern kitchen, a small single bedroom, and a loo with basin.
The stairs are straight and not too steep. Upstairs is a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom containing bath, separate shower, basin, and loo; two further twin bedrooms; and a bathroom with bath with shower attachment, basin and loo.
Fulbeck is furnished for comfort rather than style and is situated in a particularly peaceful spot, making it ideal for a family holiday.

Although fully modernised, Chaffeys retains many features of an 18th century small farmer’s house, and a few showing its origins as a small house of the 16th or 17th century. It is situated near the end of West Street, a cul-de-sac. It has three bedrooms, one on the ground floor with a shower and loo. There is a bathroom upstairs.
On the ground floor there is a living room with sitting and dining space for six people and dominated by an inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove. There is a modernised, rather small kitchen, a small utility area, a shower room with handbasin and loo, and a bedroom with twin beds. The steep, rather twisting staircase leads to two more bedrooms, one with twin beds and the other with bunk beds, and a bathroom with bath, handbasin and loo and a powerful extractor fan as there is no window. Ceilings are low. There is gas central heating and the cost of electricity and gas is included in the rent. Behind the cottage is a secluded traditional garden. Please don’t try to climb the trees!
Chaffeys is delightful, providing modern comfort and convenience in a traditionally picturesque village setting.
In this part of West Street traffic is so light that children play safely in the street, and guests can enjoy the tranquillity of the countryside.

Jiggers is a comfortable and well-appointed holiday home with lots of character and a large, attractive garden.
This listed 18th century cottage is perfectly situated near the heart of the historic village, yet well away from the main road.
You can leave boots and coats in the hallway and relax in the spacious, cheerful sitting room with board games, books, TV etc. Beyond the WC, you will find a bright, practical kitchen/diner with views into the garden.
French windows open onto the sheltered patio, where you can eat alfresco. The garden has an ancient shed built of local stone and enjoys fine views of the church. A magnificent driftwood bench is the focal point for teas and garden drinks.
Upstairs, the large master bedroom has a double bed, washbasin and a good view of the garden. The charming second and third bedrooms in the older part of the house have twin beds (2ft 6in beds in one room). All rooms have duvets and co-ordinated linen. The tiled bathroom has bath, basin and WC.

Littlemead is a roomy, three-bedroom bungalow built in the 1940s at the southern edge of the village near the end of West Street, which is a very quiet road. It has an exceptionally fine view of the Castle. It is an easy walk to the village centre and only a minute’s walk to Corfe Common and open country.
Littlemead stands in its own mature garden, mostly lawn with garden furniture and several shady trees. There is a spacious rectangular living room, furnished and equipped as a comfortable sitting room for up to six people, and a large double-glazed conservatory with a dining table and chairs and further comfortable seating, facing south, west and north, which is a delight in the summer months.
The three bedrooms, one double and two twins, are situated in three of the corners of the house, with the kitchen in the fourth corner. It has a very fine view of the Castle. There is a bathroom with bath, overhead shower and a basin; a utility room; and two loos. Littlemead has gas central heating.
Gas and electricity are included in the price.
Littlemead is very comfortable and highly recommended.

White Lodge is a spacious four-bedroom house in one of the best parts of Swanage. It is well equipped and attractively decorated and has high ceilings. It is about five minutes’ walk from Swanage beach but, since this is all downhill, it takes rather longer to get back. It has gas central heating throughout.
An entry lobby and hall lead into a sitting room with ample seating and sealed and polished floorboards. The kitchen/diner is also off the hall. It has a woodburning stove, a dining table with seating for eight, wood-faced units, and is very well equipped. There is a small utility room with washer and separate dryer.
