Purbeck Cottage is a comfortable well furnished 3 bedroom semi-detached house built in about 1880. It is set some distance back from East Street and there is parking in front of the house. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The front door opens into a small porch and then a through passage. Off this is a bright sitting/dining room with open log fire, sealed oak hardwood floor, easy sitting for six people, dining table and chairs for six, and French windows leading to the patio and garden. There is a fully equipped modern kitchen/breakfast room; and a small utility room with stainless steel sink, washing machine and tumble dryer. The kitchen/breakfast room also has French windows onto the patio.

Straight stairs lead to the first floor which has fitted carpets. The master bedroom has a 5ft double bed; the second bedroom has twin beds and a fine view over the Middle Halves; and the third, smaller, bedroom has twin 2’6” beds. The first bathroom has a bath with shower over, basin, and loo; the second has a shower, basin and loo.

Most of the garden is lawn and a gate leads to the strip of enclosed grassland known as the Middle Halves. The patio has garden furniture. The garden is enclosed but is not guaranteed dog or child proof.

Purbeck Cottage is a delightful house, light and airy, and ideal for a family holiday. Any traffic noise at the front of the house is much reduced by the distance between the house and the road and by double glazing throughout.
