Sue’s Cottage is a Grade II listed traditional Purbeck stone cottage probably dating from the 17th century and situated in its own garden at the southern end of the village, close to Corfe Common. It is fully modernised and furnished with a blend of modern practical and traditional furniture.
The entrance leads into an attractive kitchen with fitted wood units. The passage from the kitchen leads to the bathroom with bath, loo, and basin, and an electric shower over the bath. The living room is attractively furnished to provide sitting and dining for four people. It has an inglenook fireplace with a ‘Villager’ coal-effect gas stove. A carpeted open staircase leads to a small landing and two bedrooms. The master bedroom has an antique-style iron double bed with brass fittings, the second bedroom has twin beds.
Both have ample hanging and storage space.
Sue’s is a picturesque detached cottage with authentic features including beams to catch the heads of the unwary. There is a small goldfish pond in the garden, fitted with a cover. The cottage is south facing and sides onto the road. There is some traffic noise which is much mitigated inside the cottage by secondary glazing on the ground floor. Sue’s is ideal for an active or romantic holiday.
